Ponytail Palm, not actually a palm, grow to 4m x 1m, & are a great specimen plant . The trunk forms a bulb, storing water; so they prefer well drained soils with little water, in part shade to sunny sheltered positions. Protect from frost when young. Suitable for coastal sites.
